Bachelor Thesis "Fungi"

My bachelor thesis is about “fungi”.
A lot of knowledge about mushrooms and our relationship with them is lost, but due to the growing importance of environmentally friendly products, pioneering companies such as mycoworks LLC (San Francisco) and ecovative design LLC (Green Island, New York) are working with a promising material they call the “mushroom material”.

A lot of people are skeptical about mushrooms in general.
For the introduction of mushroom products, it would be beneficial to transform the existing mycophobia into a mycophilia.

My thesis is about the historical and modern use of mushrooms by humans. In this work, I collected old and new applications and meanings of mushrooms.
For the practical portion of the thesis, I designed interior objects that demonstrate possible application areas. My goal is to increase acceptance of this viable resource while sparking the user’s curiosity.
